Park Hyatt St Kitts Review
If you are looking for a luxurious escape smack dab in the middle of the Caribbean, then the Park Hyatt St Kitts is where you need to be. The entire resort overlooks Banana Bay which has an incredible view of Nevis.
Updated: 1/5/22
The Park Hyatt St Kitts is located in the Christophe Harbour area on the island of St Kitts. The resort sits about 30 minutes from the airport on the southeast peninsula overlooking Nevis. If you are visiting this resort, you might choose to leave the resort to venture into Brasserie, take a boat over to Nevis or visit nearby Christophe Harbour restaurants. But with all the amenities and dining options, you don't have to leave the resort. So the Park Hyatt St. Kitts is great for those who just want to lay around and relax or for those who want a more adventurous trip full of excursions and site seeing. We planned our visit to the Park Hyatt St Kitts back in the spring of 2018 so the anticipation built up for quite awhile. And lets just say this luxury resort was worth the wait. The Park Hyatt St Kitts just opened their doors in November of 2017. And the resort did not disappoint.
The Park Hyatt St Kitts at Christophe Harbour
If you are looking for a luxurious escape smack dab in the middle of the Caribbean, then the Park Hyatt St Kitts is where you need to be. The entire resort overlooks Banana Bay which has an incredible view of Nevis.
Upon our arrival to the Park Hyatt St Kitts, we were very tired after traveling all day. So all we wanted to do was get checked into our room. From the front drive of the hotel we were escorted down a very wide candle lit sidewalk that was surrounded by water to the lobby of the hotel. There we were greeted with a cold damp towel and a glass of champagne. Definitely a nice touch!
Our Room
The Park Hyatt St Kitts consists of several dwellings with many different types of rooms. Since the resort is a bit spread out, we were given a ride on a golf cart with our luggage to our room.
The rooms boast a very luxurious yet modern beach feel. Lots of white painted wood mixed with warm tones of mahogany. During our stay we had the opportunity to stay in a Beachside King Room as well as a Park Executive Suite. Both rooms were very comfortable boasting plenty of space, incredible spa like bathrooms with freestanding tubs, walk-in showers and a closet.
The rooms are decorated very simply as not to distract from the colors of the Caribbean and the resort. Each room at the Park Hyatt St Kitts features either a private balcony or terrace.
The luxurious spa like bathroom featured a double vanity, a free standing tub, a walk in shower and a separate toilet room. And the best part is Park Hyatt has some of our favorite brand of toiletries Le Labo!
Dining
There are three dining options at the Park Hyatt St Kitts. There is the Great House (main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner), the Fisherman's Village (seafood lovers heaven for lunch and dinner) and the Stone Barn (adult only dining for dinner).
Since we visited during slow season the Stone Barn was unfortunately closed. However, the Stone Barn menu was being served in the Great House in addition to the Great House menu. We ate breakfast each day at the Great House. They have a nice breakfast buffet that is very European with lots of cheese, smoke meats, pastries and fruit. There were also a variety of hot food items each day. And the pastries were delicious! If buffets aren't your thing, they have a great breakfast menu as well. All of the meals we at at the Great House were absolutely incredible.
We also had the opportunity to do a coffee tasting class. During the class we were taught about coffee, how it is grown, roasted and brewed. We got to taste coffee that was brewed by six different methods, each with it's own unique taste. And since we are self proclaimed coffee snobs, this class was obviously something we really enjoyed!
Another thing we really enjoy about Hyatt properties such as the Park Hyatt St Kitts is that they truly understand the need for great craft coffee. In fact most luxury Hyatt properties feature a barista and a craft coffee menu and the Park Hyatt St Kitts was no exception from this.
Amenities
The Park Hyatt St Kitts has plenty of things to do. There are several paths to walk around the resort, there is a nice stretch of black sand beach and plenty of opportunities to relax and connect with nature. Not to mention the incredible views of Banana Bay that can be seen from all over the resort.
The resort features two pools. There is the adults only pool (Rampart Pool) with cabanas and incredible views of Banana Bay. And there is the main pool (Lagoon Pool) that features a man-made beach, and a zero-entry infinity edge pool. Both pools feature full-service food & drink.
In addition to the pools there is the Beach Shack with has all kinds of non-motorized watersports activities such as paddle boarding, snorkeling, and kayaks.
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts also features a great spa with separate men's and women's facilities such as a steam room, sauna, hot tub and outdoor showers. The facilities were very well maintained and the staff was very attentive and friendly.
It can be a struggle to get a decent workout in on vacation. But the fitness center at the Park Hyatt St Kitts won't disappoint. You'll find plenty of cardio equipment, free weights and machines to get your blood pumping. And of course afterwards, take advantage of some time relaxing in the steam room and sauna.
Overall Impression
The Park Hyatt St Kitts is a great place to relax unwind and live on island time. Despite the fact that St Kitts can be a hard place to get to, this 5-Star resort makes the hours of travel worth it in every way. And the staff at the Park Hyatt St Kitts is incredible. Everyone made an effort to get to know us. Toward the end of our stay everyone was calling us by name as if we were family.
And remember, if you book with a Hyatt Prive travel agent like Live Luxe Travel Co. , you’ll get extra benefits like complimentary breakfast, a $100 USD resort credit, a confirmed on category room upgrade, early check-in and late check-out! And occasionally the Park Hyatt St. Kitts offers promotions a free night offer when you book through a Hyatt Prive travel agent. So take advantage of some of the promotions and go visit this new luxurious resort. You won't regret it!
Park Hyatt New York Review
The Park Hyatt New York offers luxurious accommodations in a home away from home along with an incredible fitness center & spa facilities plus white glove five star service.
Our Verdict
The Park Hyatt New York offers luxurious accommodations in a home away from home along with an incredible fitness center & spa facilities plus white glove five star service.
This review is based off of our personal stay in December of 2019. And don’t forget, if you are planning to stay at the Park Hyatt New York, book through Hyatt Privé to take advantage of exclusive complimentary extras like a confirmed room upgrade (if available), $100 hotel credit, daily breakfast and a welcome amenity. Plus through September of 2020, they’re offering a 3rd night free on Hyatt Privé reservations. To request Hyatt Privé rates, just visit liveluxetravelco.com/hyatt-prive.
If you are looking for an escape in the middle of bustling New York City, the Park Hyatt New York is just that. You might even forget you are in New York City unless you look out the window.
Park Hyatt New York
There are so many options when it comes to luxury hotels in New York City, but they all have something a little different to offer. The Park Hyatt New York is in a great location, just two blocks from Central Park, close to the 57th Street Subway Station and across the street from Carnegie Hall.
The Park Hyatt New York is a rather boutique with only 210 guest rooms on 15 floors including 92 luxurious suites. All of their rooms feature a work desk, separate soaking tub and rain shower, commissioned artwork in guest rooms and a built-in TV in the bathroom mirror.
Our Room
During our stay at the Park Hyatt New York, we stayed in a one bedroom city view suite. This 1,000 square foot escape in the heart of midtown offered panoramic views of 57th street with a glimpse of Central Park.
From the moment you open the door to this premium suite, you will be amazed by the upscale materials, expansive living area, separate bedroom and gorgeous spa-like bathroom.
Our personal favorite thing about this room was the large picturesque windows that offered sweeping views of the city as well as the luxurious bathroom and closet.
As you probably already know, the Park Hyatt New York features Le Labo toiletries which happen to be a personal favorite. The Tubereuse 40 fragrance was a nice change from other Park Hyatt properties we have visited like Park Hyatt St Kitts, Park Hyatt Washington D.C., and Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme,
The bedroom featured a king bed surrounded by a wall of windows on two sides with thick up-scale curtains that opened with the push of a button.
Amenities
If you are looking for an escape in the heart of New York City, the spa, fitness center and pool at the Park Hyatt New York will give you some serenity.
The pool area at the Park Hyatt New York offers a place to rest, relax and recharge. In addition to a large pool that is suitable for swimming laps or just taking a leisurely swim, there is also a separate Jacuzzi and a steam room.
If you’re like us, getting a good workout while traveling is essential. The fitness center at the Park Hyatt New York will give you the space, the machines and the technology to get a good workout in. The gym featured plenty of cardio equipment along with Peloton bikes (something we now judge hotel gyms by), a Mirror (interactive full-length mirror), self-powered treadmills, and plenty of weights.
While we didn’t have any services performed at the spa, from the reviews we have read and guests we spoke to, it’s top notch just like everything else at this property.
Dining
The Park Hyatt New York features one restaurant called The Living Room. The Living Room serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, afternoon tea, and light bites + cocktails.
The Hyatt Privé breakfast benefit can be used at The Living Room or through in-room dining. Since our trip to New York was quite relaxing, we didn’t feel like getting ready to go to breakfast each morning, so we ordered breakfast from an iPad in our suite.
Within minutes of placing our order for breakfast, the phone rang and a member of the in-room dining team was calling to confirm our order. When breakfast arrived the next day, the order was 100% correct (it surprising how many hotels mess up room service breakfast). And the breakfast was hot, another challenge with in-room dining.
The in-room dining experience we had at the Park Hyatt New York was the best in-room dining experience we have ever had. What made our in-room dining experience was the quality of the food, the fact that it was served hot and the service.
The Park Hyatt brand is known to be ‘Masters of Food & Wine’ and that is exactly the experience we had at the Park Hyatt New York.
Service
If you’re looking to be treated like royalty or a celebrity, then book a stay at the Park Hyatt New York. From the moment you walk up to the hotel entrance on 57th street and are greeted by the friendly bell staff you will feel like you are at a home away from home.
There are two things that truly make a hotel experience memorable and that is the actual hotel itself and the level of service that they provide. The Park New York delivers a guest experience that is truly unique and memorable.
The check-in process was super easy and the front desk agent explained our Hyatt Privé benefits and answered our inquiries.
Overall Impression
Besides being immersed in the action of New York City, the Park Hyatt New York won one of 2018’s most luxurious hotels from Forbes. The luxurious environment, friendly staff, excellent food and drinks and hotel amenities make the Park Hyatt New York a must stay property when visiting New York City.
The commissioned artwork all over the hotel also adds to the experience of staying at this five star hotel. Everything in the Park Hyatt New York is chic and elegant and the interior is filled with polished marble and stone that promotes a sense of calm and soothing.
Our stay at the Park Hyatt New York was during the holidays, and the lobby was decorated very elegantly, just as one would expect.
Extra Perks
And don’t forget, when you book the Park Hyatt New York with Live Luxe Travel Co. through our Hyatt Privé partnership, you’ll receive a $100 hotel credit to use on dining or at the spa, daily breakfast for two, a room upgrade and welcome amenity.
Park Hyatt Washington D.C. Review
The Park Hyatt Washington D.C. is a luxury hotel located on the West End of Washington D.C. near the historic Georgetown Neighborhood.
Our Verdict
The Park Hyatt Washington D.C. offers luxurious accommodations, excellent service and fantastic amenities. This review is based off of our personal stay in July of 2019. And don’t forget, if you are planning to stay at the Park Hyatt Washington D.C., book through Hyatt Privé to take advantage of exclusive complimentary extras like a confirmed room upgrade, $100 hotel credit, daily breakfast and a welcome amenity. To request Hyatt Privé rates, just visit liveluxetravelco.com/hyatt-prive.
Park Hyatt Washington D.C.
The Park Hyatt Washington D.C. is located at 1201 24th Street NW in the West End of Washington D.C. The hotel is a five minute walk from historic Georgetown and Embassy Row. And the the hotel’s design uniquely blends American craftsmanship and contemporary style.
The Park Hyatt Washington D.C. is about an 8-9 minute walk from the Foggy Bottom Metro Station by George Washington University, which is convenient for making your way across the District. It takes about 20 minutes on the Metro Blue Line to reach DCA Airport from the Foggy Bottom Metro Station.
The main tourist attractions in Washington D.C. such as the Lincoln Memorial Vietnam Veterans Memorial, White House and Smithsonian Museums are about a 30-40 minute walk from the Park Hyatt Washington D.C. or 15-20 minute drive/ride. The Park Hyatt Washington D.C. does offer complimentary car service to the White House and CityCenterDC area.
Our Room
We booked a standard king room through Hyatt Privé to take advantage of the $100 credit and confirmed room upgrade. At the time of booking, we were upgraded to a Junior Suite and upon arrival, we were further upgraded to the Georgetown Suite.
The Georgetown Suite, which was over 1,000 square feet, was just gorgeous. The suite featured a separate living and dining room, spacious and comfortable bedroom, office area, and a spa-inspired limestone bathroom. There is also a half-bath off the living room area.
The office area in between the bedroom and living room was a nice spot to get some work done during the day.
The spa like bathroom was extremely spacious with a walk-in shower and separate soaking tub.
And as we've come to love with the Park Hyatt brand, bath products are Le Labo. The Park Hyatt Washington D.C. offers the Bergamote 22 scent, which we love.
Our room had a gorgeous welcome amenity waiting on us (part of booking through Hyatt Privé).
Amenities
The Park Hyatt Washington D.C. does have an indoor saltwater swimming pool and hot tub. I will say, it's an interesting hike across the hotel to find the pool area. But the pool area does have plenty of natural light with a glass atrium above the pool area.
Dining
Honestly, the best part about the Park Hyatt Washington D.C. is their restaurant, the Blue Duck Tavern. The restaurant is so popular, we have clients reach out to us to book them at the hotel specifically for the sole reason of eating at the restaurant. And you won’t just find hotel guests at the Blue Duck Tavern, it’s a popular place among locals. In fact, the Obama’s celebrated their anniversary dinner at the restaurant in 2009. And of course, you can use your $100 Hyatt Privé credit at the Blue Duck Tavern.
We ordered room service breakfast one day and took breakfast the second day at the Blue Duck Tavern. The food was delicious.
And we met friends at the Blue Duck Tavern for lunch one day. And of course, as expected, the food and service were excellent.
Service
To give you a bit of context, we started our trip in D.C. at the Fairmont Georgetown. The Fairmont literally sits right across the street from the Park Hyatt. And while we typically enjoy the Fairmont brand, the service at the Fairmont Georgetown was just awful.
That was not the case at the Park Hyatt Washington D.C. The service at the Park Hyatt was excellent, as it should be. But honestly service was about as good as it gets. From the front desk, to the restaurant staff and room service, we were generally quite impressed by the level of service we received. And everyone we met was extremely polite and friendly.
Overall Impression
While the Park Hyatt Washington D.C. might not be the closest hotel to the tourist sites in the Nation’s Capital, it is still conveniently located. And we enjoyed escaping the tourists and spending time in the West End and in Georgetown. The Park Hyatt Washington D.C. offers luxurious accommodations, excellent food and great amenities.
Extra Perks
And don’t forget, when you book the Park Hyatt Washington D.C. with Live Luxe Travel Co., through our Hyatt Privé partnership, you’ll receive a $100 hotel credit to use on dining or at the spa, daily breakfast for two, a room upgrade (if available, confirmed within 24 hours of booking) and a welcome amenity.
Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme Review
One of the reasons we choose the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme was for it’s location in proximity to the Louvre and Jardin des Tuileries. And this property has a much more boutique feel with only 155 guest rooms.
Our Verdict
Bonjour! That is exactly what comes to mind when we think about Paris. Paris is such a romantic and charming city.
Paris has dozens of 4 and 5-star hotels. But, if you are going for ultra luxury then there is also another designation you should know about. Ultra luxury properties in France are located in historic palaces and are given the designation as a Palace hotel by the French government.
One of the reasons we choose the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme was for it’s location in proximity to the Louvre and Jardin des Tuileries. And this property has a much more boutique feel with only 155 guest rooms.
PARK HYATT PARIS VENDÔME
A luxury palace away from home is exactly how we would describe the Park Hyatt Vendôme. With exquisite decor, plenty of luxury amenities and the excellent location make this hotel an unforgettable experience. As to be expected with most Park Hyatt hotels, they are a great mix of old-world luxury yet also contemporary.
OUR ROOM
During our stay at the Park Hyatt Vendôme we stayed in a Park Suite King. This particular suite felt like a true home away from home. The only thing this apartment-style suite was missing was a kitchen.
Upon entering the suite you are welcomed into a living room, followed by a spa-inspired bathroom and then the master-bedroom. There was no lack of space in the Park King Suite and perhaps the most notable feature was the attention to detail and use of elegant materials.
From the door handles to the light sconces, everywhere we looked there was so much influence of art in the style and decor of the room and even the whole hotel.
The bathroom could practically be a spa with the limestone walls, a deep-soaking tub, rain shower, heated floors, and exclusive toiletries designed by acclaimed perfumer Blaise Mautin. And we just loved those toiletries!
DINING
There was not a lack of great food at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme. Food is a huge focus at this property with 5 different dining options. The most well known dining venue is Michelin-starred Pur’ – Jean-François Rouquette.
During our stay we enjoyed breakfast each day at Sens under an elegant glass ceiling. And as you would expect at any Park Hyatt, a gourmet breakfast. Breakfast is either order off the menu or a buffet with made to order eggs.
For those who are gluten-free, paleo, keto any any other type of dietary restrictions, there are plenty of options for everyone.
AMENITIES
As you might expect in a palace hotel, there were plenty of amenities to keep guests busy. After a long day of exploring the city streets of Paris, come back to this palace to relax, get in a good workout or get some work done.
Le Spa features four treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room and a jacuzzi. The spa facilities are co-ed and might just make you forget you are in the middle of Paris. The use of stone and tones of gold make Le Spa very elegant and reflective.
SERVICE
Parisians tend to be very classy, elegant and demand a certain level of service. The service at the Park Hyatt Vendôme is no exception to these standards.
Upon arrival at the property, we were promptly greeted, assisted with our luggage and taken to the front desk. Each time we left or returned to the property, we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff.
OVERALL IMPRESSION
The Park Hyatt Vendôme feels like somewhere you could stay overnight, for a few days or even for upwards of a few weeks. The finishes, the staff and the amenities make it a true home away from home for any European vacation.
As one of just 11 palace hotels in France, we would highly recommend you stay here for all or part of your trip to Paris.
And when you book with Live Luxe Travel Co., you’ll get complimentary extras like a $100 activity credit, daily breakfast for two and a room upgrade at the time of booking.
New Properties Added To Hyatt Privé
Over 20 new hotels and resorts are now participating in Hyatt Privé. Here’s the updated list.
We love the Hyatt Privé program. In fact, we think it’s one of the best luxury hotel programs available. Why? For one, the personalized service can’t be beat. And the extra value you receive through Privé like a confirmed room upgrade at the time of booking and welcome amenity are special touches that most programs don’t offer. And Hyatt has some great, aspirational, luxury properties like the Park Hyatt New York, Andaz Maui and Park Hyatt St. Kitts.

Our Favorite Hotel Toiletries
These scents stay with you long after you check out. And you just might find your new favorite on your next hotel stay, such as one of these brands. Here are some of our favorite hotel toiletries we've discovered during our travels.
These scents stay with you long after you check out. And you just might find your new favorite on your next hotel stay, such as one of these brands. Here are some of our favorite hotel toiletries we've discovered during our travels.
Our Favorite Hotel Toiletries
When you stay in high end hotels and resorts, you come to expect high end toiletries. But not all hotel toiletries are created equal. Here are some of our personal favorite hotel toiletries.
Le Labo
New York City based Le Labo is a dominant force in the luxury hotel toiletry scene, with signature scents and personalized labels. We love Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. And Fairmont Hotels and Resorts’ use rose-scented Le Labo products. While the scent is a bit feminine, we still love Rose 31 Le Labo products and look forward to them when we stay at our favorite Fairmont property, the Fairmont Pacific Rim.
The Park Hyatt New York has their own collaboration with the brand, which created the Tubereuse 40 – a woody/floral scent – exclusively for the hotel. Park Hyatt St. Kitts uses the brand’s Santal 33 amenities, which we are excited to try out later this week.
And Marriott's EDITION hotels (read our Miami Beach EDITION Hotel review) have their own custom Le Labo scent that’s reminiscent of Noir 29 – a scent made with fig, bay leaves, bergamot, cedar wood, black tea leaves, vetiver, and musk. In terms of masculine smells, it's probably our favorite Le Labo scent.
Asprey
London-based Asprey, a luxury goods company dating back to 1781, has a partnership with The Ritz-Carlton. Guests of the brand’s properties around the world enjoy Asprey’s Purple Water Collection, a fresh citrus fragrance with spicy notes.
Ferragamo
Famed fashion designer Salvatore Ferragamo entered the world of high-end toiletries after forming a partnership with the Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts. The company’s Tuscan Soul line of bath products greet guests from the marble shelves of the hotels’ posh bathrooms. And we are a big fan of the Ferragamo toiletries. They smell fresh and light, but aren’t overly floral.
Julien Farel
Loews Hotels feature toiletries by celebrity hairstylist Julien Farel, whose past clients have included stars such as Kate Moss, Richard Gere, and Giuliana Rancic.
Loews Hotels and Julien Farel describe the toiletries as a custom assortment of Julien Farel Anti-Aging Haircare and Body Products. And they feature clinically proven Anti-Aging Bioactives, such as Hyaluronic Acid. Plus they work to intensely hydrate and protect the skin, scalp and hair.
And we always look forward to using them when staying at Loews Hotels like our recent stay at Loews Hotel 1000.
Aromatherapy Associates London
At Conrad Hotels & Resorts, you'll actually get your choice of three different brands of toiletries including Shanghai Tang, Temple Spa and The Refinery (by Aromatherapy Associates London).
We are big fans of Aromatherapy Associates London and we really enjoy The Refinery Line. The Refinery, inspired by the renowned men's grooming salon in London, is blended with the latest cutting-edge ingredients and essential oils to care for pre and post shave skin. Designed for any age, skin is soothed, calmed and protected.
Lather
And finally, Andaz Hotels & Resorts features the Pasadena-based organic skincare line Lather in their rooms. The Lather bath and body products (including bamboo-lemongrass body wash, mint-thyme shampoo, and yuzu-bergamot conditioner) smelled fantastic. And they are definitely one of our favorites.
