We love Thompson Hotels. And Thompson is opening a new hotel in Austin later this month. Thompson Austin, a chic and sophisticated hotel, will bring 229 rooms, including seven suites, to the Texas capital, all designed to help travelers get a little “Austin-tatious.”
Beyond the stylish rooms, designed by Chicago’s Simeone Deary Design Group, guests and locals can also enjoy food from the iconic culinary duo Mashama Bailey and John O. Morisano, the masterminds behind The Grey in Savannah, Georgia. In Austin, the duo are opening an all-day, full-service restaurant called The Diner Bar, plus a grab-and-go establishment dubbed The Grey Market. 9. Hotel La Compañía Panama City
Hotel La Compañía, part of Hyatt's Unbound Collection, will open in Panama City in April of 2022.
Three different eras of Panama history come to life at Hotel La Compañia, where opulent modern design revitalizes a landmark location. Each of our three wings restores a piece of the old town (Casco Antiguo) to the height of contemporary luxury. Choose a beautifully curated room in the French Colonial wing, built by Jesuit priests in 1739; the Spanish Colonial wing, dating back to 1688; or the American Beaux-Arts wing, which was once a high-end department store constructed in 1905.
Five in-house restaurants draw on the same historical inspiration, creating the stone Spanish church interior of El Santuario or the old-school wood and brass furnishings of the American Bazaar. Head to the rooftop pool and bar for the ideal vantage point of a thriving Casco Antiguo neighborhood, where nightlife, upscale dining, and world-renowned archaeological sites live side-by-side.
And Live Luxe Travel Co. clients receive exclusive Hyatt Privé benefits like a hotel credit, room upgrade and daily breakfast for two.

All set directly on the Pacific Ocean against the dazzling backdrop of Baja’s high-desert mountains.

Kimpton is very dog-friendly too, with fluffy beds, grooming and doggie bowls available to entice dog lovers. Another Kimpton brand feature is that each property is distinct.
12. Thompson Denver
Thompson Denver is opening this February. And if there was ever a city that needed a Thompson, it’s Denver. Denver is a fun and hip city, but has lacked an edgy hotel. And Thompson Denver will definitely fill that void.
The Thompson Denver will be located at 1600 Market Square in LoDo, a bustling downtown neighborhood in the heart of the city that is steps from iconic Union Station. The 11-story hotel is designed as a “modern-day chalet,” and will feature 216 accommodations, including 15 suites.
